Want A
Cheesecake Wedding Cake?

-- Cheesecake Wedding Cake --

When it comes to wedding cakes, they need to taste as good as they look! And if you and your honey love the decadent sweetness of a well-executed cheesecake, why not incorporate it into your wedding cake?

Cheesecake Wedding Cake

Miniature Cheesecakes

One of the best ways to present cheesecake is in individual portions. Squares of cheesecake with a delicious graham cracker crust can be artistically displayed on a cupcake stand or a tiered cake stand. Each portion can be decorated and adorned with delicious in-season berries, such as blueberries or raspberries, or rich dark chocolate shavings. When it’s time to serve, it’s easy – the cakes are already sliced perfectly!

Traditional Cake

If you love the look of a traditional wedding cake, but you love the taste of a cheesecake, there’s no need to worry! Bakeries often offer cheesecake options. You don’t need to have cheesecake all the way, either! It works well as a layer amongst more traditional cake flavors. Or, have your baker make a variety of cheesecakes in different flavors, and set them up buffet-style for your guests to choose from. Some fabulous flavors? Chocolate, mocha, raspberry, blueberry, caramel, cappuccino, strawberry or some unique combination!

A Cake for Show

Consider having a small cake brought into the reception for your cake cutting ceremony, and then having large sheet cake that has already been sliced and plated in the back area. This will not only save you money, but it will expedite the cake serving process!

A Delicious Alternative

Though it is renowned amongst dessert lovers for its rich, cream texture, you may wish to have some fresh fruit available as an alternative for those guests who avoid dairy products or sweets.

If you love cheesecake, you might prefer to have a cream-cheese frosting, which will give a similar flavor but will be slightly less rich (and likely less expensive!).

Decorated Cheesecake

While most brides agree that butter-cream frosting would be a little too sweet over top of a cheesecake, ask your cake designer to offer a few suggestions of decoration ideas. One elegant and stunning alternative to frosting and icing is to decorate the cake with fresh flowers – fresh orchids are a great selection and can be purchased as an edible flower. Sugar flowers are also a lovely choice. Don’t forget to decorate the table, which the cake will be served on – simple petals are a lovely choice. Fresh fruit is another fabulous way to decorate either the cake or the table – grapes, citrus fruit, or berries look divine!

A Few Considerations

Are you planning an outdoor gala event? Make sure you have somewhere cool to store your cream cheese wedding cake – it could turn into a mushy mess if you’re not careful.

Delight your guests with a symphony of flavors by ending your meal with a real treat – a wedding cheesecake! From the tiniest cupcakes to a full blown tiered cake, you can add a sumptuous element of rich flavor to your wedding by choosing to serve this family favorite.
