Color Schemes
The most predominant color in Chinese theme weddings is red.
Usually you will see some black, gold and yellow accents as well.
Did you know?
Traditionally, in a Chinese ceremony, white is bad. This because white is traditionally the color worn at funerals.
Red and black are often worn, because they are believed to be the colors of luck and prosperity.
This is the reason that in a Chinese ceremony, the bride will usually wear red.

Invitations
Using red paper, cut the invitation to the size you want. Buy some stamps with Chinese symbols on them (find a symbol with a positive meaning, such as luck or prosperity), and using gold or black ink, stamp the symbols onto the invitations.
Or you could make origami invitations, having the wedding infoomation written on the inside.
