If you can't find your perfect dress anywhere, why not be your own wedding dress designer? It really isn't as hard (or as expensive) as you might think..
I had SUCH a hard time finding my perfect wedding dress, because I couldn't find any dresses that matched the vision I had in my head.
I looked everywhere, believe me..
The closest dress I ended up with a photo of, was actually one that I put together myself. It was a combination of three separate dresses that I formed into one, using the paint program on my computer.
- Kind of lame, I know, but it worked ;)
I took the back part from one dress, the train from another, and the bustier from another, and pasted them together to make one.
After doing this, and thinking about how ridiculous (and time consuming) it was, I searched online, trying to find an easier way for people with the same problem to get their dresses out of their heads, and onto paper.
But all I found was a cheap, cartoony program that really didn't do much at all..
So instead, I've created some free fashion templates for you to use. (they're down at the bottom of this page)
Just print them out, trace them onto a piece of paper, and draw the wedding dress that's in your head.
Look at pictures from magazines and online to help you get some ideas.
Between these and any pictures you find, you should be able to show your seamstress exactly what kind of dress is in your head.
If I ever find a good enough computer program that lets you do this, I will let you know.
