Fall Wedding Decorations

-- Fall Wedding Decorations --

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of year to get married!

Fall Wedding Decorations

It’s a great “in-between” season as it is not too hot and not too cold, meaning you have many choices when it comes to indoor and outdoor ceremony ideas.

September is the new June in the world of weddings, and brides are anxious to capture the beauty of a warm autumn day.

Brides apply a fall wedding theme to weddings as early as August, and as late as November! Make sure you purchase your decorations and book your venue well in advance as this is a very popular time to tie the knot. Once you’ve set your date, it’s time to get busy working on your color scheme, choosing your decorations, and planning the details. Selecting fall-themed wedding decorations will create a stunning backdrop to say your vows.

Top Tip!

Before you buy anything online, make sure to check out the fall decorations being offered on eBay. You can often find new decorations at a fraction of what they cost in stores:

Pumpkin Perfect

Pumpkins are a gorgeous way to add fall color to your wedding day. They are inexpensive, stunning, and can be used in more ways than you can count. For an outdoor wedding, consider lining the aisle with pumpkins. Use small gourds as place-holder cards, and have piles of pumpkins decorating the entry point to your reception. A special touch? Spray paint pumpkins gold to add a touch of glitz! Pumpkins make stunning centerpieces and can even be added to elements of your menu, such as pumpkin soup or pumpkin pie!

Fall Foliage

Fall Wedding DecorationsChoosing to get married in the crisp fall air is a lovely way to intertwine the season with your special day. Have lots of fall foliage as your color backdrop. Scatter leaves down the aisle for a natural look, and decorate tables with leaves. You can even add some leaves to your hair or to your bridal bouquet. Images of leaves on your invitations and programs will bring everything together. You may decide to choose just one leaf as part of your theme and have it appear everywhere – stenciled onto ribbon, decorating your cake, and stamped onto candles. An oak leaf shaped cookie is a great gift for guests.

Color Cues

If you want to simple take some of the beautiful colors from fall, do so with style! The rich reds, oranges, and yellows can be used to decorate many different aspects of your day. Choose table linens in rich autumn tones, and have your bridesmaids wear fall colors as well. For best results, stick with two colors. Consider cream and chocolate brown, dark red and gold, or pumpkin orange and sage green.

Say It With Words

You may decide to add a theme “slogan” of sorts to your day, such as Falling In Love. Have the words scrawled across a cake, on your wedding program, and written on wall decals. Words can be a themed all on their own – simply choose a color you love, like chocolate brown, and have your slogan printed on as many items you like – napkins, wine bottles, and more!

Autumn Themed Flowers

Fall flowers will make your wedding day a stunning display of nature. Ask your florist to create something woodsy and whimsical, with lots of vines and rich fall colors. Roses in deep shades of red or stunning calla lilies are great picks for a fall wedding.

All In the Details

There are loads of options available to help create your autumn wonderland, and it’s all in the details! Look for acorn shaped chocolates, fall foliage place settings, and ribbon with imprinted leaf-motif. Candles are available to set the tone in virtually every color and scent. Be creative by adding elements of nature to your displays to make the day shine from the outside in!
