Top Tips On How To Plan
Inexpensive Weddings

-- Plan Inexpensive Weddings --

Weddings are undoubtedly becoming more and more expensive every year.

But your wedding's price tag doesn't have to be through the roof. Here are some great money saving tips that could save you a fortune!

(Take a moment to look at this helpful wedding planning ebook. It has everything you'll ever need to know about affordable planning a wedding on a budget!)

Attire

Rent your gown or buy it second handWedding attire can be unbelievably expensive, but most brides end up only wearing their dress once, and then keeping it in storage for the rest of their lives.By either renting, or buying your dress second hand, you'll be saving tons of money. This way you can still have that $1500 dress, but for a fraction of the cost. Not only is this a good practice for the bride's gown, but it will also work for the groom's tux and the bridesmaid dresses.

Limit Your Guests

Most of the time, the most expensive part of a wedding is the food at the reception. If you're paying $15 - $40 per plate, limiting your guests will decrease your costs significantly.Just go through you list and make some cuts based on who you and your fiance are closest to. (I am a firm believer that you should only invite people that YOU want to be there. Don't invite others for someone else's sack. Especially if they make you uncomfortable. Its your big day, invite who you want).

Have A Buffet

Like I said earlier, food is usually the biggest expense at a wedding. But there are ways to get around this high cost. Have a buffet instead of hiring caterers and you'll cut a big chunk out of the price tag.Get friends and family to pitch in by giving them different dishes to make. One family member can make a big vat of mashed potatoes, while another can make some mini sandwiches. Then have everyone serve themselves rather than hiring servers.

At The Bar

Have guests pay for alcohol, don't supply it for free.Alcohol costs are huge when you pay for them yourselves. Or if you insist on buying, give everyone a "one free drink" ticket to use at the beginning of the night.

Choose A Cheaper Location

Find somewhere that is either cheap, or free. A friend's house, your house, a park or a hotel. These are all much more affordable than renting a massive hall.

Do-It-Yourself

There are tons of wedding items that you can make yourself.Things like invitations, favors, decorations, centerpieces, etc. Find some friends that are willing to help you, and get creative!

Buy From A Wholesaler

You can save a ton of money by buying from a wholesaler. Look online for (sites like Ebay) some unbeatable wholesale prices.
