How To Make A Seating Plan
For Wedding Reception

-- Seating Plan For Wedding Reception --

Here are some top tips on how to arrange seating at your wedding reception.

Guest Tables

* You may end up having many choices when it comes to the shape of your guest tables.

While any shape will work, I recommend using round tables, as they tend to make the room look more spacious.

* Seat the bride and groom's immediate family closest to the head table, and have friends seated farther back.

* Print out a seating plan so that everyone can easily find their seat.

* Number the tables to make it easier for guests to find their seats.

* Have place cards at each seat for your guests.

* Try your best to seat guests together who already know each other. They may not be comfortable sitting at a table full of people they don't know.

Head Table

* Try to get a long rectangular head table, so everyone has a good view of the Bride, Groom and the wedding party.

* Seat the Bride and Groom in the center of the table. Have the Maid of Honor beside the Bride, and the Best Man beside the Groom. Continue down the table with the rest of the bridesmaids and groomsmen (see the photo diagram for reference).
