Wedding Arch Reception Decorations

-- Wedding Arch Reception Decorations --

Arch decorations are so popular and it’s easy to see why – they are attention grabbing, a great way to show off your style and theme, and come in enough styles that every bride can find one she loves!

Top Tip!

Before you buy anything online, take a look at the wedding arch decorations being offered on eBay. You can often find new decorations at a fraction of what they cost in stores:

Find an Arch

Does your wedding site already have an arch? Perfect – you just need to decorate it! Would you like to add one to your site to make it truly magical – no problem! Arches can be purchased or rented fairly inexpensively. Tip: Choose a less expensive, simple arch, and make it your own with decorations!

Or, if you’re hosting a backyard ceremony, go for a permanent arch that will always remind you of your special day. Arches come in all sorts of styles, and are made of many different materials, including wood, metal, iron, or plastic. You can find your arch at a local home supply shop, décor stores, or you may even have one made especially for your ceremony!

You may choose to feature your arch over your ceremony site. Or, have it over your head table to pull attention towards the wedding party at your reception. You can even have a small arch near the entry way to your wedding venue – an arch will add a focal point to virtually any space!

Balloon Arches

Balloon arches are under-rated! An arch made of balloons can be elegant, whimsical, and fairly inexpensive! You don’t even need to purchase helium balloons. Choose a beautiful pearly or metallic balloon for a modern feel. You can attach the balloons yourself or have a lucky family member do it for you! Add ribbons and gauzy material to add to the depth of the arch.

Flowers and More

Depending on the season, you can add flowers to your arch to create a romantic look. If you’re hosting a backyard ceremony, you may be able to plan in advance and actually grow vines or flowers up your arch. If not, you can recreate the look by placing large urns or potted plants near the base of either side of the arch. Add lots of branches, flower garlands, and leaves to match your season and theme. Combine silk flowers with real flowers for a cost effective but stunning silhouette.

Green Arch

Greenery on an arch is a natural choice – and strikingly elegant! Choose various shades of green to create a full effect. Small ivy plants can do wonders, and you can weave them in and around the arch easily. Fairly lights and tulle will add to your green arch, and you can use ferns and leaves to play up your theme.

Beachy Arch

Arches are popular for beach weddings, as it is necessary to create a visual focal point on the beach. You may decorate your arch with lengths of sheer organza or tulle, which will flutter in the wind for an utterly romantic feel. Arches can be made of palm tree fonds as well, which is oh-so-tropical!

Make it Better

You can make a simple arch extravagant with a few special touches. Add potted flowers, pedestals, or urns on either side to make it seem larger. Cluster candles and hurricane lamps around the bottom to create depth and shadow, and if possible, attach some candle holders at various sections of the arch (be careful!).

Remember – the whole arch doesn’t need to be decorated. In any many cases, decorators simply add a few hints of décor. You can cover the entire arch for a whimsical feel, or you can just add a few subtle touches. Consider covering the entire arch with tulle then simply adding some floral arrangements on the very center and on either sides. Look at photos, visit your local garden center, and talk to your florist to find inspiration! Arch you glad you’re having an arch wedding?!
