Planning a get away?

You’ll want to make sure that your car is decorated – and there are lots of wedding car decorations to choose from! Traditionally, this job was taken care of by the Best Man (hence the loud tin cans and shaving cream combos!). However, these days more and more brides are planning out the décor of every aspects of their big day – including the vehicle décor!

Wedding Car Decorating Kit

You can purchase a wedding car kit that will include everything you need to make your drive memorable. A typical wedding car decoration kit will include a “Just Married” vinyl cling sign, a marker that can be used to write on the windows, some balloons, crepe streamers, wedding bells, string, and confetti. At a price of about twenty dollars, you can purchase a ready-to-go kit! Decorating the vehicle is a fabulous job for your groomsmen.

Wedding Car Flowers

Why not decorate your vehicle with fresh flowers? When you are ordering your flowers and bouquets, ask your florist to do up a special arrangement for your vehicle. Floral arrangements can be attached to the hood of your car with ribbon or garland detailing. Silk flowers are great for this – check out your local department stores for a fantastic selection. Use clear tape to hold everything together (you might want to try a little test in an inconspicuous place to make sure that it doesn’t leave a mark).

Wedding Car Decals

What’s your theme? Do you have a special monogram? A decal is the perfect way to dress up your wedding car. “Just Married!” or “Honk! We Just Got Hitched!” are both great things to say! A decal won’t harm your car, and you can get creative with what you want to stick on your car – think champagne glasses, flowers, and hearts! Decals can be easily removed once the festivities are over. You can also personalize decals with your names and wedding date – get creative!

Wedding Car Interior Decorations

Whether you are driving off into the sunset in a stretch limousine or your dad’s Toyota, you can make it extra special by decorating the interior of the vehicle before the wedding! Use tulle to decorate each seat, and put a tiny bouquet with fresh flowers in it (use the water holder to house the vase!). Tuck a box of chocolates in the glove compartment for a burst of sugar as you drive away.

More Décor!

You can get as creative as you can with your wedding car décor – let the world know that you’re newlyweds! Custom front license plate covers that say “Just Married” are a fun touch – just make sure your back license plate is showing (you don’t need to get stopped by the police on your wedding day, although it would be a fun story!). You can make your own décor by cutting hearts out of cardboard, and writing either “Just Married” or another personalized statement. Decorate the borders with colored pom poms that match your wedding colors.

Driving off with your partner is a fun way to leave your ceremony or reception site as everyone looks on. Make sure your car is in on the fun with lots of fun décor! Congratulations – you’re married!
