Planning on making your own centerpieces at your reception? Its not as hard as most people seem to think.
Its just a matter of finding a picture or idea that you like, and duplicating it.
After that, it should be a piece of cake!
Things To Keep In Mind
* Don't make it too tall. You want your guests to be able to see each other.
* Keep it safe. If you'll be using candles in your centerpieces, make sure the candles are encased in glass, or another non flammable material. Always keep flammable items away from open flames.
* Keep to your color scheme. Make sure that your centerpieces coordinate with your wedding colors, otherwise they'll stick out, rather than compliment their surroundings.
* Stick with a theme. If your wedding has a theme to it, make sure your centerpiece goes with it.
* Make centerpieces that people can take home afterwards. Its a nice gesture, plus it helps with cleanup!
* Get creative! Don't be shy. This is your day, make it the way you want.
Materials
There aren't any rules about what you should use in your centerpieces.
In fact, the more creative you are, the more interesting they will be!
But here are some starters:
* Containers - Glass Bowls, Vases, Baskets, Fountains, Pots
* Decorative Items - Flowers, Feathers, Branches, Leaves, Candles, Ribbon or Lace.
* Filler - Beads, Rocks, Water, Sand
