Wedding Church Decoration Tips

-- Wedding Church Decoration Tips --

Decorating church weddings can be a lot of fun!
Especially if you have a lot of unique architecture to work with.

Here are some easy decorating tips that you can try when decorating your church wedding.

* First off, choose your color scheme. Try to play off the colors that are already in the church. Choose colors that will compliment the church setting, rather than contrast it.

* Line the sides of the aisle with flower petals that lead to the alter. Choose flower petals that match the bride's bouquet.

* Use tulle and other fabrics to decorate your pews. Attach flowers to the pews by wrapping them in ribbon.

* Add a unique twist to your wedding day by giving it a theme. There are tons of wedding theme ideas out there, some common ideas are: western, fairytale, autumn, winter, butterfly and daisy.

* Use fresh springtime flowers like orchids or lilies to give it a light and fresh look.

* Hang streamers and bows from the walls and ceiling.

* To save some money, ask the church's even planner if there are any other weddings happening before yours. If so, you may be able to cut a deal with another bride to reuse some of her decorations, or even split the cost of flowers with her.

* Have candles line the aisle or alter. (Just be sure someone is constantly keeping an eye on them for safety).

* Use wreaths, balloons and garland to add finishing touches to your church wedding scene.

TIP: Be sure that the church is all right with any decorations you plan to put up. Some churches have specific rules on what you can and cannot use to decorate with.
