Some companies will even ask you to send in a fabric swatch, so the bows can be matched to virtually any color!

Thematic Touches

Are you having a theme wedding? Considering literally “tying it in” to your church pew décor. If you are hosting a princess theme wedding, you might have miniature crowns dangling from the bows. If your day is all about butterflies, have beautiful silk butterflies clipped on to your decorations – be creative! Having a monogram incorporated into your wedding day? Flower Power

There’s nothing more beautiful than fresh flowers for wedding day décor – but be sure to check with your church before settling on this option! Some churches have a scent-free policy and do not allow real flowers. In this case, it’s no big deal – simply feature classic silk flowers. Silk flowers can be just as beautiful as the real thing, and will allow you to set things up in advance! Roses, daisies, and orchids are all stunning flowers to feature – you should match the pew floral arrangements to the flowers or colors in your bouquet.

Do It Yourself

For the D-I-Y bride, church decorations present a great opportunity to save some money and add your own personal touch to your day! Visit a craft supply store and pick up lots of beautiful ribbon, floral accents, and decorations such as beads. You may be surprised at what you find! If you have a friend who is particularly crafty, ask her to help. Together, put together one “sample” pew decorations, then create the others from there.

No Bows, please!

If bows aren’t your style, you’ll need to think outside the box for this one! Consider balloons for a fun, playful look. For seaside weddings, you may create some sort of seashell marker to show guests where to sit. For an outdoor wedding, consider swags made of evergreen boughs or pumpkins.
